The Kolkata tram is the only operating tramway in India and is the oldest electric tram in India. It is India's only existent tram system, since 1873. On February 24, Kolkata’s iconic tram service celebrated 150 years since the first tram was flagged off. This icon if well maintained can be an affordable and eco-friendly solution for the future.
